How protection works
Encryption and access controls protect your saved vault files. Unlocking gives Stormy access for your current session.
Unlock on your terms
Use your Stormy key or a configured device passkey to open your encrypted device vault.
Work in your private space
Organize files with supported AI tools powered locally on your device, within your private Stormy workspace.
Lock when you’re done
Lock device & AI stops active AI work and clears unlocked access and readable previews. Saved vault files remain encrypted.
This protection applies to Stormy’s encrypted vault. It does not block other apps across your computer or protect readable copies you export or open elsewhere.

Protection beyond the moment
Lock your vault when you step away. Saved files remain encrypted, with supported local features available offline after unlocking.
How protection works
Locking releases the active unlock key from Stormy’s session. Your recovery key and any encrypted device-unlock setup remain available for your next authorized unlock. Going offline alone does not lock an open session.
